For the first time since launching almost 7 years ago, LeVeL33 Opens Up its Microbrewery for an Exclusive Beer Collaboration
LeVeL33, home to the world’s highest urban craft brewery is putting itself on the map again by collaborating for the first time with an international award winning brewery, Two Birds Brewing. Longtime friends, Brewmaster Jayne Lewis and Head of Marketing Danielle Allen are the driving force behind Australia’s first femaleowned brewery. Based in Melbourne, Australia, the brewery has been making headlines since it launched in 2011.
In August 2018, Two Birds Brewing will be heading to the Lion City to brew an exceptional Golden Ale with LeVeL33’s Brewmaster Gabriel Garcia.
Argentine-born Gabriel Garcia was intrigued by the smells and beauty of beer brewing during a visit to a small brewery in Prague which left him pursuing his Diploma at the world-famous Technical University of Munich. Gabriel has brewed at many
European breweries, including a century old brewhouse in Liguria, Italy. Gabriel was enticed by LeVeL33’s unique concept five and half years ago.
Through his journey at LeVeL33, Gabriel hopes to expand and enrich the beer culture in Singapore; presenting well-made craft beers, brewed with passion and the attention to details, following traditional European brewing methods and recipes using only premium quality raw materials.
Both brewmasters, Gabriel and Jayne, are excited about presenting Singapore craft beer drinkers with their unique Golden Ale, using Tasmanian hops. Only available for a limited time, the tank will be tapped for the first pint in August. Two Birds Brewmaster, Jayne Lewis, said, “We’re very excited to be visiting Singapore and for the opportunity to brew a collaboration beer in a city with such great international influence and flourishing craft-beer scene. We look forward to bringing a touch of Australia to the world’s highest urban microbrewery at LeVeL33.”
Jayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Winemaking and worked in wineries in Margaret River and the US, before landing a role as a Brewer at Little Creatures in WA in 2004. A move to Melbourne’s inner Western suburbs in 2007, saw Jayne work casually at Matilda Bay Garage before accepting a role as Head Brewer at Mountain Goat Brewery in 2008.
Jayne has completed a Diploma in Brewing through the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in the UK and has judged at the World Beer Cup, Australian International Beer Awards and Australian Craft Beer Awards. She fell in love with the inner West. So naturally, when the decision was made to build their own brewery, there was no other place, Spotswood would be home for Two Birds.
Gabriel, LeVeL33 brewmaster, is excited about his first ever-brewing collaboration with Jayne, a highly skilled brewer who previously worked at renowned Australian breweries Little Creatures and Mountain Goat. “What I am most looking forward to is brewing a seasonal Golden Ale that reflects both LeVeL33’s classic brewing tradition and Two Birds’ New World brewing approach.
LeVeL33’s craft beer drinkers appreciate our classic brewing practice and easy drinking, fresh beers brewed right in front of them. We take pride in each of our carefully managed brewing steps. I can’t wait to start brewing in July with Jayne and raise our first pints together in August!”
The Golden Ale tank will be tapped for the first pint on Thursday, 2 August 2018. To mark this exclusive collaboration, LeVeL33 will be preparing a one-night-only beer tasting menu on the launch evening.[…]
